The City with Two Faces (a self-reflection documentary)
I wasn't sleeping well last Saturday night, and random thoughts ran through my mind, making me feel physically and mentally exhausted.
When thoughts of my future goals and commitments began to surface, I became suddenly short of breath.
So, I took out my old camera, which I had not used in almost 7 months. I charged the camera battery and left my house without any plans for the day. First, at 5 a.m., I went to a tea shop and ordered a cup of tea, and then took the bus to the Marina beach.
When I went to the beach, I started filming what I saw. I spent time at the beach with my camera and returned home at around 9:15 a.m. I edited my footage and discovered that my cuts had created a story.
We live in a sophisticated world. We would be living in a safe environment if we all had food, clothing, and shelter.
I noticed some people living on the beach who didn't have any clothes to change into. They have no plans for breakfast in the morning. But we are coexisting at the same time.
A message I hope to convey to you all through this documentary film is that while we have everything, we need to live a full life rather than worry about the future and other commitments.
Live your life to the fullest. If you want to do something, you should just do it now.
